How to list a Discord server

Listing a server takes a few minutes. You must manage the server, and the Disguild bot must be in it so Disguild can confirm the server is real.

Requirements

  • You are signed in with Discord and can manage the server (you own it or have the Manage Server permission).
  • The Disguild bot is a member of the server. If it is missing, the submit page shows a link to add it, then you can continue.
  • The server is not already listed on Disguild.

These checks run on the server side, so they cannot be skipped. If Disguild cannot reach Discord at that moment it asks you to try again shortly rather than accepting the submission unchecked.

The four steps

1. Find

Pick your server from the list of servers you manage, or paste its Server ID. Disguild then fills in the name and icon. The list is refreshed each time you log in, so a server saved earlier may have no name until you log in again.

To copy a Server ID, turn on Developer Mode in Discord (User Settings, Advanced), then right-click the server icon and choose Copy Server ID.

2. Describe

  • Short description: 20 to 140 characters. It appears on cards and in search results, so say what your community is about.
  • Full description: 50 to 4,000 characters. Describe topics, activity and what makes the community welcoming.
  • Category (community, gaming, development, education, art, music, anime, support or other) and language.

3. Links

Add an invite link so people can join; listings without one show "Join link not provided". An invite that does not expire is the most useful kind. Website and support links are optional.

4. Review

Check the preview, confirm the details, and submit. Your answers are saved in this browser while you work, and a Start over button clears them.

After you submit

Your server is pending until a reviewer decides. You are notified of every decision. See Listing review and statuses for what each status means and what you can edit.

The server ID, type, name and icon are locked after submitting. Descriptions, category, language and links can be edited.
