Account, sign-in and notifications
Disguild uses Discord to sign you in, so there is no separate password. This page explains what that involves and how to stay in control of your account.
Signing in
When you log in, Discord asks you to approve two things:
- identify: your Discord ID, username and avatar.
- guilds: the list of servers you are in and whether you can manage them. Disguild uses this for the server picker when you list a server, and stores each server's name and icon, refreshed at every login.
Disguild never asks for your Discord password, your email address, or a bot token.
Your devices
Open Account settings from the account menu to see where you are signed in. Each device is shown as a browser and operating system label, never the raw browser identification. You can sign out one device, or all others, and logging out ends the session on the device you are using. You can have up to 20 signed-in devices at once.
If you sign in from a browser and system you have not used in the last 30 days, you get a notification so you can sign it out if it was not you. You can switch that notification off.
Notifications
The bell in the header opens your notification centre. Some notices are always on because they matter:
- Review decisions on your listings and on edits to live listings (approved, rejected, changes requested, suspended, restored).
- A webhook that was switched off after repeated failures.
You can turn off the others in Account settings: a new review on your listing, and a sign-in from a new device. Read notifications are removed after 90 days and unread ones after 180.
If an account is suspended
A moderator can suspend an account that breaks the rules. A suspended account can still browse, but cannot submit listings, vote or review, and a banner explains why.
